Biomedical Nanite Applications

 

Project Synopsis:

 

Use of biomedical nanites to heal the sick, cure disorders on a genetic level to broken or regenerate limbs.

 

Unit: Biomedical Nanite

 

Capabilities: Reflexive Armor (Offensive)

                      Bio Cast Systems

                      DNA/RNA Resequencing

 

 

Operations: Once programmed, for instance to help support a broken arm while the bone sets, the nanites go and do the job. Essentially you place coding into the machines, they adapt to the physiology and complete the task and disperse through the blood stream or body harmlessly.

 

Reflexive Armor 0289-01: More a combat issue, than healing one. Agents can be infused with nanites, then as they wear protective gear or go into under cover and are within an environment that requires no protective gear this can be used in place of it. Once hit the thickened cells would halt the projectiles to a point.

 

Bio Cast 0289-02: Instead of measuring, and fitting for a cast, you place these nanites inside the human body. They reinforce the bones and support the limb. The cast would be more open but still supportive through the dense lattice work of materials. While the cast is formed, the nanites travel through pores and help reinforce. After the specified healing is done, the nanites deactive and disperse.

 

Gene Sequencing 0289-03: For genetic issues, these nanites can be used to resequence the DNA and RNA to levels which are standard or safe for the host organism. This would be done by the nanites reinforcing and writing the wrong proteins to correct proteins.

 

Flaws: The ethics and implications alone are staggering and can be used for purposes other than intended. To prevent this, responsible and strong ethos would be applied.
