Quinten hails from the future of the Mainstream Earth in Marvel, labeled Universe 616. And it is not a pleasant world.

 

Events Prior To him rejoining the Multiversal Agency:

 

He had been at war, facing down and dealing with demons spawned from Johan Smidt, also known as the Red Skull. Sometimes he went by the old name that inspired horror, Onslaught. With his army of mutants under his mind control, while he had Xavier's telepathic abilities and advanced models of sentinels, Alpha and Omega series. He turned America into a wasteland of suffering, where anyone with special gifts, genetic or otherwise were thrown into camps. These were not the fun camps or work camps, no these were brutal camps where much like the Nazi Reicht had tried their best to obliterate any force outside their perfected race, he too sought to destroy the mutants who opposed him. Which pretty much were all of them for one reason or another. Even the most evil of mutants declined to join him and fought against him.

 

The X-men, what remained of them became scattered when the intial wave of sentinels had attacked. He used old school models and current models to test the defenses, Wakanda remained neutral despite their queen being a mutant, she too left the confines of the advanced country and joined the fight. Cyclops, Emma, Magneto, Magik and their teams split taking on a more adventurious route, but all ended up in the same spot.

 

On April 5, 2020, a new sentinel was released. Minted by the United States of America. Johan had brainwashed many heads of state, despite the psychics on both sides of the teams they could not reach Johan and shut him down. The sentinel was "biomorphic" technology, it went against a mutants and used a baseline structure much like Raven Darkholme's shape changing and took the appearance of the target, their powers and abilities through genetic templating. Even Doctor Doom was impressed but kept his mutant population inside his boarders, Wakanda and New Atlantis also remained closed. Many teams across the world fought to a stand still, The Avengers, Excalibur and many of the schools used their former students to form teams.

 

Mutants were captured, experimented upon and killed when it was all done or used for labor. The horrific story had been constant for several years before the brainiacs decided to step up. Nick Fury even acted on behalf of mutants and procured the information on the sentinel program which was had been renewed by AIM and MODOK.

 

Many of the X-men were captured and imprsoned, Quinten and Sophie were taken to the same camps and they too became marked by the Crimson Onslaught and his mark. Which was Xavier's old monacler, an X encircled. The tattoo had micro sentinels which identified and tried to supress powers. Some mutants like Ororo, Iceman, Firestar, Magneto and many unnamed others showed resistance, they were placed in a private camp and colared.

 

Blink however came to their rescue, Magik also. A two pronged attack left Johan dazed long enough to get the X-Men and many mutants out. Nick Fury aided with cover and destroyed a wave of sentinels with an EMP disruptor sphere. Cutting edge technology infused with cosmic cube energy.

 

All the remaining mutants which numbered in the hundreds, went to a secret facility called "Facility X", provided by Nick Fury, Mister Fantstic, T'Chala and even Doctor Doom. The massive structure spaned three football field and was deep in the ground. Their Forge and Douglas Ramsey determined the Red Skull was using a mix of his power and technology much like Cerebra. Anyone who was technology savy was used to build defenses, while Magneto used Forge, Quinten, Emma, The Four in One and Cypher to build a new and better Cerebra. They accomplished their work in record time and waged war in between each prject and stage. Narrowly evading death and carnage, they turned the tide. The government was freed, however Johan had set up base in the Grand Canyon and used it to make the most elite of sentinels, anticipating a strike. In mere months trhe country was bck to being free while no mutants were hunted, no apologies were issued either.

 

The battle for their lives began on that faithful day of Xavier's birth Johan had sent a telepathic message to all the minds of America telling them today was the day of reckoning. The mutants would be wiped out and humanity would be purged. The X-men fought hard, they had lost David Haller to Johan Smidt, Sophie Cuckoo was tainted by a psychic "phyric" one of Emma's nastier tricks. In the end the facility he used and all his research was destroyed. The hunt began and Johan hid from the world for a long time. Quinten was married to Sophie finally, but she was ill and he used his powers after Emma tried to repair the damage. On her behest she told him using his telepathy would probably get him killed too. He told her "You are the stupid cow who did this to Legion and thus has come back again! You killed her by allowing that worm get inside your head. Now sod off before I blast your pathetic small mind back to the fucking stone age!" The words shook Emma who saw Quinten become a powerful psion in his own right, her protege and student could do what he had stated and she agreed to leave them be. Hours later, Quinten and Sophie went on a psychic honeymoon, where they lived the rest of their lives out as they planned. Several weeks later, Sophie died and Quinten felt her slip way and remained with her til the very end.

 

Months Later....

 

Quinten severed all ties with Emma and Scott, staying to Wolverine's camp, he taught at Jean grey's School until walking through those halls finally he snapped and booked a flight to where he and Sophie had ended their lives in their psychic world and jumped off the cliff they would have sat on and died together. He was ressurected by the Phoenix Force and asked why he would end himself in such a way. He simply replied "What was great in the world had long passed." The flaming bird had responded, and entered him embueing him with the power he needed. The manifestation of the flaming aura hit all telepaths, and he was given life again. He sent a message to Johan and went about to deliver the end. But upon their battle, he only took away what Xavier's mind and knowledge gave and left him broken and destroyed, also in Nick Fury's care.

 

Years Later.....

 

He rejoined the X-men, however the line up was not the same. Sharing adventures and hijinks he became a Trustee on the board that ran Jean Grey's School. It was part of becoming an X-man. Eventually they went to the past to stop the new Brotherhood lead by Xavier's grandchild and Legion's son.

 

He split time between the X-men and Brain Trust and worked here and there for S.H.I.E.L.D. as a consult.

 

Then as he was about to visit Sophie's grave he was whisked away and landed in the MVA.
