The Phoenix Force is described as one of the most powerful forces in the universe. It can wield its energy in a variety of different ways including:

 

Cosmic Pyrokinesis: Fire it into an immensely powerful concussive force. These  flames can incinerate souls/minds and the matter around it leaving the target whole but naked. Or even incinerate any kind of matter.

 

Cosmic Awareness: The Phoenix is aware on a cosmic level, making it's host aware of the grander and finer points of what is actually happening in the universe. Levels of awareness vary from host to host, Jean Grey being empathic and loving was more so aware, Emma Frost was cold but had a vast degree of awareness whens he wished. Each host is aware of their multiversal duplicates as they are linked more finitely than they were before. When in the "White Room" a host is collectively around others, and can see the other past and present selves.

 

Temporal Travel: It can travel in time and space by collapsing its powers from the inside, much like a black hole, and reforms itself in its destination.

 

Energy Manipulation: It can absorb many kinds of energy, from the life-force of an individual to an entire energy of a sun.

 

Ressurection: The Phoenix Force has the power over life and death itself and can use it to resurrect itself or others. This comes at a price, by doing this it takes from the pool of energy that is available and ever to be made and placing it in the now.

 

Psionics: Since it is the source of all psionic energy, it has vast telepathic and telekinetic powers and is always searching for a host that is strong enough to bear its power.

 

Augmentation: When the Phoenix Force does enter a host, it amplifies the basic abilities that host innately have, manipulate matter in sub-atomic levels, and can teleport others from various corners of the universe via wormholes.

 

Phoenix Legacy: When the Phoenix Force leaves its host, it leaves behind a small fraction of its power within the host.

 

Host: Each host varies, so each of the gifts the Phoenix bestows varies within each host. Quinten is bestowed with an enhanced form of psychometry and deeper awareness of how things are versus the other hosts.

 

Should the Phoenix Force be harmed, or possibly killed, it becomes an egg of cosmic power and incubates in the White Hot Room until it hatches out completely healed.
